Flight Deck · how to

Send a chart Tradeflight can read.

Tradeflight reads what is in the picture, nothing more. A clean screenshot gets a sharp read, and a cropped or zoomed-out one gets a vague read. Three steps, set up once.

Get the Tradeflight Panel first

It puts every timeframe into one table on your chart, so Flight Deck reads the 4H, 1H, 15m, 5m and 1m from a single screenshot. Free, about a minute to add. Keep it top right and fully in view.

  1. 1Symbol and timeframeLeave the chart header in view so Tradeflight knows it's NQ on the 5m.
  2. 214, 50 and 200 EMAsThe three lines every Tradeflight read is built on.
  3. 3Tradeflight MTF PanelOptional. If you have it, keep it showing for exact numbers on every timeframe.
  4. 4Live candle and price scaleDon't crop the right edge. That's where the current price is.

Set up the chart once

Add three EMAs with these lengths. Matching the colours helps Tradeflight tell them apart.

EMA 14 · redEMA 50 · goldEMA 200 · purple

  • Any EMA indicator works. On TradingView: Indicators, search EMA, add it three times and set the lengths.
  • Keep other indicators and drawings off the candles. Fewer lines, cleaner read.
  • Dark or light theme is fine.
  • Tradeflight is built for NQ, ES and gold (futures or XAUUSD). Forex charts work as a beta.
2

Frame it

  • One timeframe per screenshot. The best set is the 1m, 5m and 15m. You can send up to 4, so add the 1H if you want more context.
  • About the last 2 to 3 hours of candles on the 1m and 5m. Enough to see the recent highs and lows, not so many that candles turn into lines.
  • Leave the header and price scale in. Tradeflight needs the symbol, timeframe and prices.
  • Screenshot the chart, not your whole screen. Extra windows make the chart smaller.

Copy it and paste it into Flight Deck

  1. On TradingView, click the camera icon at the top right and choose Copy image. Or press Win+Shift+S and drag over the chart.
  2. In Flight Deck, click the paste box and press Ctrl+V.
  3. Repeat for each timeframe, then press Read my chart.

A read takes 10 to 40 seconds and uses one of your daily reads, however many screenshots you send. Reads reset at midnight New York time.

Good and not so good

The same chart, sent two ways.

21,917.9321,886.2521,854.5821,822.9021,855.95NQ1! · 5E-mini Nasdaq 100 · CMEEMA 14 50 200TFMoveStack1m▼Bear5m▼Mixed15m▲Bull1H▲Bull
Reads well. Header, EMAs, live candle and price scale all in view.
21,883.6121,861.9021,840.1921,818.4821,856.91NQ1! · 5E-mini Nasdaq 100 · CMEEMA 14 50 200
Reads poorly. The right edge is cut off, so the current price and the live candle are missing.

Send it while it matters

Tradeflight reads the candles in the picture. A screenshot from 20 minutes ago gets a read on 20 minutes ago.

Forming candles

The last candle is usually still open. Tradeflight treats it that way and tells you what a close would change.

It's a second opinion

Tradeflight gives leans and levels, not orders. You choose the trade, the size and when to take it.
